Andy McCoy of Hanoi Rocks once put Gibson guitars into context with his famous quote:

"I don't say guitar, I say Gibson".

Gibson Custom Shop L5 (Crimson Series) - this is an exceptionally rare guitar.

Historically, in the mid 50's only about a 110 to 120 of these guitars were ever built. One was owned by Scotty Moore (Elvis's Guitarist on such classics as "That's Alright Mama"'. What make this guitar so rare are the Alnico V pickups, these were only installed on the L5 between 1954 and 1955 (in 57 they were fitted  PAF humbuckers). Gibson a few years ago produced approximately about 3 L5's with the Alnico V on them. The example shown is one of them from their Crimson Series. The guitar is a Jazz aficionados' and Rock-a-Billy guitarist's dream.

Gibson Les Paul Junior 1963 (this is an actual 63 and has the Les Paul Junior decal even though it is the SG shape very rare). In 1961 Gibson decided the Les Paul was not a seller and came up with the SG. However, Gibson still had an agreement with Les Paul to name their guitars as Les Paul guitars. The deal ran out sometime in 1963, this was one of the last with the the SG shape but with the Les Paul Junior decal.
