The video on the right shows how quickly a dynamic critical path with sub-critical paths can be provided.

The as-built actual critical path is then provided along with as-built actual sub-critical paths.

There are 10 updates including a baseline. There are 5000 activities per updates.

The video demonstrates that once the sheet has been built, in this case it took 328 seconds to build the calculation sheet from the P6 database tables.

The identification of the dynamic and as-built actual critical paths and their sub-critical paths is very quick via a computer code calculation solution.

The calculator aids the determination of criticality (it does all the grunt work).

The delay analyst still has to "weed out" erroneous calculated conclusions and apply common sense. However, once the "weeding out" has been performed the CP's can be run again and answer provided in a matter of seconds.
