The video on the right shows a simple timeline automation.

Once the critical paths (either dynamic or as-built (actual) have been identified on the "Dynamic versus As-built v As-planned Critical Path Calculator Sheet" (see page "THE DYNAMIC V APAB CALULATOR DEMO"), the as-built start and finish dates and the planned late start and planned late finish dates identified for the critical paths can be copied and paste on to the timeline.

 

The timeline is color coded with RED activity column the most critical and the PINK activity column near sub-critical. 

 

The timeline is simple to operate, and the bars can be extended to be wider over a longer timeline. Likewise, the bars can be made with a greater depth and the text made bigger.
